I don't play single player much on minecraft; primarily because the worlds are typically dull and uninteresting. After getting this book my entire attitude has changed about single player. The seeds available in this book have created worlds that I wouldn't be able to dream of in my lifetime. They are all easy to find, and input into the system and I know exactly which world I'm going to get when I start a new world. Great book.

It took a long time to receive this expensive book. It arrived after Christmas. None of the seeds work for Minecraft on XBox One. Also tried seeds on neighbor's XBox 360, didn't work on it either. My kid was so excited to receive this, though late, and equally, if not more disappointed that it doesn't
work. I can see no way to contact the publisher for assistance. Don't waste your money.

"My Chinatown: One Year in Poems," by Kam Mak, is a truly beautiful blend of poetry and visual artwork. The simple, straightforward poems tell about life in Chinatown for a young boy whose family has emigrated from Hong Kong to the United States. The poems are accompanied by richly colored illustrations. A sample of the writing style: "If you have money in your pocket, / you're never hungry / in Chinatown."
The illustrations capture many memorable images: a bunch of colorful kumquats, a cobbler at work, colorful dragon boats, and more. This book is a wonderful celebration of the people, food, and cultural events of Chinatown.

'My Chinatown' is a beautiful book about a young boy who misses his old home in China and how he is slowly discovering his new neighborhood- Chinatown. The beautiful pictures in the book are bright and bold with simple prose to guide the reader on this young boys adventure. The book is broken down by seasons as the young boys describes the transformation his neighborhood takes during various times of the year.

I brought a copy of this book home very well expecting it to go on the bookshelf and to languish there until my son got older. I was pleasantly surprised that even at 18-months my toddler gravitated to the book and enjoys looking at the artwork. It is wonderful to share this book with him; he likes the picture of the kumquats. This is a beautiful book with brilliantly bright artwork and a wonderful gift for a child or adult.

Readers of any ethnicity will enjoy the boy's stroll through the fascinating and exotic city. He struggles to understand how he can be in America and appreciate and feel connected to his native home in Hong Kong. Chinese culture exists in Chinatown but its different from the way things are observed there. Any child who has ever moved, will identify with his longing for "home" in Hong Kong and the security and familiarity it represents.

Despite all this devastation, Millie and the boys (an assorted cast including several "foreigners") do make it back to school. Meanwhile, the newly promoted, epaulet-wearing, deputy chief constable Cuthbertson is plotting his revenge for previous unspecified wrongs. He and his accomplices have their hopes set on a treasure rumored to be somewhere in an underground and under-the-lake system of tunnels, rooms, and elevators on the Ribblestrop estate. All that stands in their way are a band of protective monks, crocodiles, tigers, the ghost of the wealthy estate owner, and Millie and the rest of the kids. The plotting takes plenty of time to unfold, allowing for diversions into details of the underground lair, world soccer corruption, student gun ownership, science class, and training for the first ever school circus, which will hopefully save the school from bankruptcy. Amid the prolonged plotting, Mulligan misses the opportunity to add more depth to the global cast of characters, relying instead on cultural clichés and stereotypes (such as the student who brings the gift of a shrunken human head back from a witch doctor in the Philippines). The story does excel at poking fun at the ways of the world-particularly the antics of alleged adults. Andy Mulligan was brought up in South London and educated at Oxford University. He worked as a theater director for ten years before travels in Asia prompted him to retrain as a teacher. Love the Adventure

Discovered this series from a BBC news article about this book winning the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize. I have read the first two Ribblestrop books and loved them both. Can't wait to read the newest one. There is a great sense of chaos and adventure in these stories.

A Middle Grade story with a child MC who smokes and hitchhikes, recommended for 7-12 year olds?

This is Middle Grade? With a child MC who smokes cigarettes and hitchhikes, and one of the characters is described as a "fetus dressed in clothes"? The writing was all run ons, and mashed up chaos. It is trying to be Lemony Snicket style, but the author doesn't "get it"; that there is a finesse to it. This book is just disturbing garbage. JUST NO! It was a dnf for me. The half an hour I spent with this book was a total waste of my time. I was approved for an eARC, via Edelweiss, in return for an honest review.

Good suggestions

I neede to develop an effective pre-round warm-up that does not take a long time. This book has some suggestion on how to do that. However, the photos appear early in the text without explanation how to do them. The details are later, so the reader has to go backwards to visually link the descriptions with the photos. Thus, poor editing reduced the effectiveness of this book for me.

Depending on the reader, this book may revamp your life or it may just provide some guidelines and things to do to enhance the good life you are already living. Sometimes, small changes are all you need for a direction correction, to break bad habits or to set new goals. The author provides helpful suggestions, stories and tips that are encouraging and inspiring. She includes exercises, video links and surveys to explore interests, needs and desires in several key areas. While this book is a good starting point and may serve as a catalyst for change in simple areas, additional professional help may be required to further address depression and more in depth tests for education and vocational counseling.

El libro es excelente, sin ser extremadamente técnico si nos pone a tomar mas conciencia del mundo en que vivimos. Sin embargo pienso que se debería revisar nuevamente el tema ortográfico.

What happened to the rest?

I must be one of the luckiest buggers around considering the other reviews of this book. As a huge fan of fantasy game books I snapped these up straight away when I saw the potential. Aside from the lone wolf books, this series realy gives this genre of book a new edge.
So why am I so lucky? Cos I have all the six books that were produced, and I have yet to really get into them. My idea was to wait for all 12 and then sit down for a right good session...it was not to be. According to WHSmith, the rights for these books has been purchased and the remained of the series should be out eventually..but when.
These six books are imaginative, well written and if you have ever actually tried to write a fighting fantasy book, a work of complex art...
If you can get hold of them, please do, they are definatly the tip of the fighting fanasty iceberg.

I have been playing the Quest for more than 3 years, and it was a pity that only 6 books have been published. This is the most astounding Role Playing Games I have ever played. Specially for people who do not of RPG games on computers. I wish that Jamie Thomson and Dave Morris become aware of this and please publish the remaining 6 books.The descriptions in the book for places, characters and actions are so good that I have abandoned to play Fighting Fantasy Series. Best of all, for all readers, is that the adventure is unlimited and you can go back and forth.

wow, the set of fabled land books are brilliant, they transport you into a whole new world where anything is possible. I would well recomend this book to those of you who like to escape for a few hours into a land of fiction. I would just like to know what happend to the last 6 books in the series?, i,ve been looking for them everywhere!

I HIGHLY recommend these books to anyone that loves a story that you can't put down. This is it people.
Nath Dragon and Brenwar are the main characters throughout this series. I can only tell you that these great stories will make you want to continue reading Nath and Brenwars adventures.
I love the NEW JACKET COVERS on the books. They are beautiful and just make a reader, who enjoys dragons and adventures, want to read.

Once again Craig delivers a fantastic series that keeps you entertained and excited the whole time. When I first read this series I started bugging Craig by email asking for more books and details he was gracious enough to set me up with a few books from his other series. Seriously a great series keeping you coming back every free chance you get. The character development is spot on I truly felt invested in the series like I was there giving my opinions and yell at the characters at times. Can't get enough of your writing Craig Keep up the good work.

This is a very worthy read! Very descriptive writing pulls you deep into the story. You WILL want to read ALL the dragon books, to see how he evolves and grows both emotionally and physically.

A sequel to I don't want to go to school. A read aloud for children to read to adults. Adults will understand why they go to work, a good reminder of why parents go to work.

Good but easy for my daughter

Here is my daughter's review of the book. She is 6.

"I liked the part when he thought his teacher was a monster and I liked the part when she said she saw him at the grocery store. I also liked the part about when he thought he would have too many things in his book bag and he fell backward and couldn't get up."

For her reading level, I thought that this book was a little too easy for her but she enjoyed. This is a good book for children who are either first attending school to ease their anxieties about having a new routine.
