About the Author
Delanie L. Stephenson was a ninth-grade history teacher for eleven years. A stroke survivor since 2012, she lives in Wilsons, Virginia, with her husband, Curtis, and her two children, Katie and Alex. This is her second book.

Maybe better for me than her but as she gets older ...

I had a stroke and my daughter was 3 when it happened. I cried as I read this. Felt it was a similar story. My children were younger one was 3 and the other was 3 weeks old. I tried thread this to my 3 year old but had a difficult time following. Maybe better for me than her but as she gets older she might benefit from it. I found it great and helped me not feel alone in this journey.

It was too sad. I am a kinder teacher and my husband us a stroke survivor. I would not read this to my class or a young child of a stroke survivor. I think it needed some advise from early childhood specialists. Although it is reality, it is much too difficult to hit head on. Just my opinion.
