Like living with the characters

Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down, I even battled the flu, I wanted to get all better to get into it. I loved it. It was all the medicine I needed. I hated and loved the characters all at the same time, Yes, the story gets you this involved. I can't wait for Ms. Brafford's next novel.

Only for Specific Readers, But Well Written

I will start by saying that for a work composed by a teenager like myself, this is a pretty well written book.
For me personally, I didn't enjoy it that much. This is only because it turns out to be a romance novel after a few chapters. In this particular one, a story is told of two fifteen year-olds that get into a deep relationship that involves doing small things that two younger teenagers probably shouldn't be doing to show affection. During this heavy majority of the story, I was almost scared off. There was almost too much teen crushes and drama that I couldn't take much more than what the book had to offer. But because finishing a book is the respectful thing to do in my opinion, especially since it was written by a peer, I wanted to finish it. So basically, if you aren't one to read romance at all, maybe this isn't for you.
However, none of that is said to undermine Brafford's skill. She can actually create images with writing pretty well. So of course, just because I didn't like the type of book that it was, that does not imply that it is a "bad" book. It's just for a very specific type of reader.
I will add just a few small things about the book that I feel should be mentioned, as one might label it "nitpicking".
-Near the beginning of the book, a certain character does an internet search for something broad, and finds it rather quickly. Too quickly. In a realistic world -which the story implies that it most definitely is with unimaginable events- it would not be plausible for the character to find the info so quickly.
-The ending seemed somewhat off...as in it just didn't feel like the right ending. I know this can be a very tough obstacle for writers, but I would just encourage Brafford and really all writers to do their best to refine endings and get more criticism for them. It can make all the difference to readers and their impression of the writer. I cannot find the words to explain exactly what felt weird about it, and I would make a bad attempt to relay it to people who have yet to read it.
-There was a bit too much focus on a certain main character over the main character's (Marley's) family. There has to be just a little more of a balance, especially since that is what the summary implies. The family starts to fade more throughout the the book. Perhaps that is intentional with romantic works, and I just am oblivious to that.
With all the previous taken into consideration, there is still one thing I will always believe for writing. The story is how the author envisioned it, and writing should be so free as to go beyond any person's limits of belief, published or not. So even if there are some things they may not have worked for me, there was still the author's intention behind the work to make it the way they wanted it.
If you like romance, or maybe would like to try reading from the genre, I would definitely encourage you to read Everything Against Us. If you don't like romance, then this is probably not a book you will enjoy overall.

Easy to read book with compelling story line

Easy to read book with compelling story line. Loved how the young writer developed the characters with such detail. Interesting perspective into young love through the mind of teenagers. The struggle is real to them. Can't wait for the next installment to the story. Well done!
