Review
"Using the power of story, Cindee Martin Morgan unveils the sober reality that preborn children have full personhood from the moment of conception. Only from the perspective of eternity will we fully appreciate how Cindee's artistic talents are being used to rescue the most innocent among us from dismemberment and death. Rescue Me is a great addition to her already substantial contributions to the legacy of life."

and bestselling author of numerous books including
AfterLife: What You Need to Know about Heaven, the Hereafter
and Near-Death Experiences
"Christian fiction generally sets the children's teeth on edge, owing to its substitution of moralism and do-goodishness for the biblical gospel. And the authors, whatever their theology, more than often than not cannot write. Cindee Morgan is a wonderful exception on both counts. Immediately order this book for your teenager--and for yourself (as long as you haven't repressed the child within you). And should you be a right-to-lifer--we trust that, as a Christian believer you couldn't be otherwise--this is the book you always wanted. Cindee's late father and my dear friend Walter R. Martin will be celebrating in heaven on publication day."

"In a world where, increasingly, human life is assigned value on a sliding scale, where the happiness of parents is considered immeasurably more important than the life of pre-born children, where abortion is regarded not only as an acceptable but a celebrated choice, there is great need for compelling stories suffused with another, nobler point of view; a point of view which, until fairly recently, was almost universally held by virtually every culture on earth for thousands of years: namely, that all life is from God and is infinitely precious. In her new book, Rescue Me, Cindee Martin Morgan gives a lovely and creative telling of one of those stories, where that which all of us know, but forgot, is powerfully remembered."
--Rolley Haggard, Feature writer for BreakPoint
"If, like me, you can't get enough of imaginative time-travel stories such as Back to the Future, then you will almost certainly find Cindee Martin Morgan's novella Rescue Me both absorbing and riveting. Based on the otherworldly adventure of an endearing girl named Suri, the plot is filled with mystery, life-and-death drama, personal transformation, and more twists and turns than Disneyland's Matterhorn ride. As the story unfolds, Suri is faced with the issues surrounding both Jesus Christ and abortion on a very personal level that will allow many readers to see both of these realities in a new light. I personally was very gratified by the manner in which Morgan ties all of these threads together at the story's end. This is a wonderful example of redemptive fiction that will be appreciated by many readers regardless of their age, gender, and personal faith and background. Highly recommended!"
--Elliot Miller, Editor-in-Chief, CHRISTIAN RESEARCH JOURNAL
"Although colorful, skillfully created artwork may be a wonderful asset to any book intended for younger readers, I think the best of books in this genre should not require them in order to arrest the reader's attention and capture the imagination. Cindee Martin Morgan is an extremely gifted author possessing just the kind of talent needed to successfully accomplish writing a book of this caliber. Cindee is a true wordsmith who artfully crafts phrasing, with an appropriate measure of detail that is rich without being cumbersome. We are thereby magically transported into the specific locations she is describing, and directly into the company of the very diverse and fascinating characters that we meet along the journey on which each page compels us to walk.
Cindee's novella, Rescue Me, is quite a unique addition to the category of youth-oriented Christian literature because it addresses one of darkest and most disturbing manifestations of wickedness, tragically still very prevalent amongst sinful mankind in the third millennium, an evil so gruesome even many adults avoid discussing it in "polite company", the murder of the unborn. Quite a bold undertaking for a Christian author in an age of rampant consumerism when that which is most popular in literature, the arts or any realm of Christian media is that which could inflict one with "spiritual diabetes" from the oft-repeated overdose of syrupy sweetness.
Another litmus test for the best in literature for the young is that it holds great appeal for those of any age, especially since books of this type are frequently read aloud into the youngest ears within the audience for whom it is intended. A child can easily detect whether a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt or older sibling is truly captivated and enthralled by what he or she is reading, or merely droning on and on through an unpleasant chore, driven by coercion or obligation. Cindee certainly passes that "ageless factor" test easily with Rescue Me. I urge you to get this book into your hands, and into the ears, minds and hearts of your children and grandchildren soon! Use this remarkable little tool to help them, while they're still very young and having the benefit of an unseared conscience, begin to cultivate a worldview that elevates the protection of the most fragile and most helpless among us to the highest level of their priorities, with the love, honor, adoration and obedience of the One who knit those tiny, precious, voiceless jewels together in their mother's wombs standing alone at the very pinnacle."

Delightful. A Must Read. We all like a good story.

This delightful and heartwarming story is one you will want to read along with your child or teen. It is a very pleasant story without condescension, not written in a way that would talk down to a youngster. The author carefully defines a plot line that gently crescends and arcs toward the pivotal moment, sure to tug at every heart-string. Care was made to pen a thrilling climax that may be captured for young readers to understand, yet very compelling for the older readers too. There is an inherent goodness underscoring the tale. If virtue is an important trait for your child, this book provides plenty of exposure towards it and reflection thereof.

I was challenged by this intriguing story!
By Kenneth Petty
The minute I read about the release of this short story, I couldn't wait to read it! The author of this book, Cindee Martin Morgan, has masterfully combined together so many issues and concepts that a baby boomer like me, and a Christian, have held so dear, combining the deeply painful moral crisis of abortion and its destruction in one family and the supernatural intervention by God to solve it! Mrs. Martin Morgan has a ready audience in today's culture, informed by scientific, post-Einsteinian theory of relativity and the very real, scientifically plausible possibility of time travel! But that it falls short of actually becoming a sci-fi thriller about time travel and the delicious grappling of the paradoxes that comes with such stories, and which sci-fi fans like me just relish, it is more than enough that, in Cindee's story, the agent of the time travel trip is none other than the God of the Bible and of Judeo-Christianity, which Jews and Christians both hold as the Creator of time and space, and transcendent over both! The main character of the story, a young girl, Suri, is haunted by visions of a boy who constantly pleads with her to rescue him, hence the title. She soon finds out that this is providential, and she is the one chosen to attend to this daunting task, and she must be transported back in time by God and accompanied by an angel to prevent the evil that has befallen the unfortunate boy! The drama only increases with each turn of the page and the way this story has really challenged me personally is in the realization of how relevant time is, and how what we do in time and space really do have consequences! Eternal consequences! Mrs. Martin Morgan will not disappoint you here either, that is, what I just said about the delicious ironies in stories of time travel, and the laws of causation changing what has come to pass to something much different, if only we *could* go back and do so! And here is where causation and human responsibility meet. All our choices are moral, and they are causation in themselves. The choices of Suri's mother had affects, painful affects, not only for herself, but for everyone in her life, and now, Suri is granted a miracle by the God of time itself to go back and have the chance to impact her mom- by some choices she will make herself! And I'm willing to bet that no one can guess how things are indeed changed as Suri takes up the angel's challenge in the attempt to rescue a desperate little boy! The story is so well-written and I guarantee, it will keep the reader on edge, until the final, surprising climax that will leave you thinking much deeper about the real solution to all of humanity's moral crises! God may not allow us to go back in time ourselves to change events, but this book succeeds in reminding us that "RIGHT NOW COUNTS FOREVER!" and it is precisely here that I was challenged, to speak out, here and now, and leave the results to God. As the famous addage goes, "This life will soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last!" We can't get this book into too many hands of the targeted audience of young readers, and I would even argue that it's a profound read for all ages! I really hope it becomes a movie and that would be an amazing work, to depict on screen what is for now left to the imagination of readers!
